The spineworld update...why things will have to change in the backgrounds and maps.

 Spineworld update.

I have started what could be considered a " new arc".  I taken some time to draw the buildings to scale as if real humans would be on them. I mean the visual logic of the game is kinda of a dis-reality. You often cannot even fit in some places as an avatar in the game. The buildings are purely representational and don't match up to the size of the avatars at all. This kinda of makes it difficult for anyone to up and draw the backgrounds of Spineworld. Just look up Spineworld online and there are not any people but the creators who have drawn a background simply for they are the ones who created the idea itself. Also I am to say that these buildings and the world of Spineworld as in the game is basically unsuitable for the mass population which did frequent the game in one space at a time as well the landscapes if in real life would be a public safety hazard, Cloud Spire especially. Cloud Spire itself has many places where people can hang off the sides  and the place is high up and really in real life do we just have unaccompanied high up places were people could be sitting leisure just to make a mistake and fall to their deaths? Let's say no. The whole game is not practical to reality at all or any reality where characters can live long lives.

This all means like really that some spaces need to be redesigned to have a real life functionality and not an artistic one. Some new maps will have to be made for the many places in which they were never maps in the game. I find this is a fun opportunity to imagine what is inside the many buildings in Cloud Spire and elsewhere and give them real functionality as if real people lived there.

So frankly everything will be "realistic" and represent the original game backgrounds and maps to where it makes sense to. I am to say that if you were to make a comic strictly using the game you would find that there are many incomplete elements to the world and the story itself would not be complete. What is needed is to get away from the notion of these unfilled spaces as something that works in both approaches. Its easier to do that in a redrawing than using the game because then you would actually have to make graphics that are made up to represent these unfilled spaces or where your avatar could not go. Also that takes so much effort and many people cannot even recreate the maps for Spineworld that already is but the original creators and maybe me. So how is anyone to create an original that matches up in style and in the same outlook as Spineworld? Not very likely it would be for that to happen. In addition; the representational element does not work so well in comics. People need to know what they are actually looking at and to explain an element can take a long time. There is some reason why people don't post their drafts as their final comics. Or their thumbnails for their comic's final release. Its for the reason that it would be too much a perception gap for people to get the message in the images. This is also the reason I never show my drafts as well.

Outside this; the arc I am to work on will feature many and much new maps and those from the original game. It also will take place in part in the Mayan Jungles if not to areas in the Migoland game.

That's all I can say.
