More about A_NEXT

Maybe at the start of its run was a good idea but namely the characters don't get any real development and the story is just placing them into action order and the characters change so much the story has no real gravitas at all and makes no real sense to say. The series lasted from 1998 to 1999 originally. It actually has been brought back for two events and one miniseries in 2008. However; the story would be best to say rushed in later times and not the best Marvel story. If anyone in the modern take would try to bring these characters back; the world with no real definition but of legacy reference that really makes for a hard read and quiet annoying~ a paper thin world where even the creators give up trying to even define who is in the world as people live and breathe and only try to present comic book heroes. The sad thing is that maybe the original story was developed more and if not for need of money; it would have become something today.

Oft to say their legacy runs and mentions are just pathetic today as no one cares who comes from which hero when neither hero nor offspring are even really talked about or developed at all. And how Marvel tries to pin legacy on new characters not even developed by the time period of the Marvel comics 2. Legacy to mean; have them inherit roles of previous characters. Yes; my friends even by 2008 there was a female Thor and Captain America woman called American Dream( that name is very off, odd and iffy). Even a female loki yet to say not very much development in their character.
The intent must have been just to say that Marvel is great all alone and maybe they don't need to tell stories just represent a brand with some said story. But people did not like the story of A- NEXT and it only lasted one year in publication-the art getting shitter each issue. And so maybe Marvel learned an important lesson. Guide people to the water with a cohesive modern relevant story that is deep and with people who know real life and maybe perhaps diverse.  That just represents the same legacy concepts and never focusing on giving the characters a real means to what their powers and what their character actually is outside this team formation.

Yet to say many characters are not even taken seriously in A-NEXT and are just like drawings so 1-D that they speak to the viewer and the viewer represents them a mock logo of another character. Spidergirl would be the exception but outside of that all the characters in A-NEXT are posed to be paper then and disposable and which is why only Spidergirl from Marvel Comics 2 is ever even used.
Because she had her own comic book line that lasted long enough for her to gain some self recognition and realization among fans.

I think the important lesson from A-NEXT is to not make one dimensional characters were there is no effort in even making the stories at all.
