When they literally get around to the childbearing era, they realize that they can't go back to being a person who sleeps around and that they probably don't actually like being a mother and pretty much, oh well. We like to explore other opportunities but it's already gone so they gotta mess up your chances of being with actual women who actually give a fuck about you. In spite of everything they just don't understand that their time was never that great with you. They just don't understand that ultimately they're delusional. They think that they have some godly power over other women to decide who they sleep with when they don't. It's delusion. The best way I can say it is a serially dumb person thinking they have shots at something that doesn't belong to them.
