Lero. Enough of the trends.
Day to day I worked on bringing out the best content I could have and really much not just anything. A person truly had to focus to create things but what is a person awarded with on the current internet? Oh, yea, you aren't hip enough or with the trends or doing whatever anyone is doing to be held as an artist. And I am to say that is problematic. Its nice to have trends and anime and comics and manga and all that stuff but one art form and these different trends cannot be the main focus of art. Today, all that is endeared on the net is a sense of hive minded groupthink where only certain people are worthy to make money and maybe just maybe those people aren't the best people to be making the money. They constantly complain about making art. Honestly what is that? Laziness, excuses and privilege when they basically just don't even form their own ideas. All they have to do is gaze onto the internet and lock into someone's work and that be that. They can easily just funnel money away from a person who has worked tiredlessly on a manga for theirselves as if the IP is theirs.
Yea, sale the shirts with the characters on it and don't think anything is wrong with that. But there is something wrong with that. The internet art scene is immoral in the aspect that no one blinks an eye on what is owed to the creator or that stealing someone's else ip is wrong. I think that a person should realize that too many "artists" online today are just proud stealer's of someone's work almost incapable of making their own original ideas. How does this impact artists today? They are afraid to innovate, do for theirselves and even be their own selves and too desperate to succeed by what is just an immoral path that is white listed as the golden path by people who have forsaken any morals. It encourages group think and makes for a toxic environment for younger artists who wonder if all they have to do in life to be successful as an artist is do fanart and sale stuff that is not theirs.
There is nothing wrong with making fanart in moderation but the modern internet has great deal of a problem with respecting the authors of original content, supporting them, not engaging in groupthink attacking them and ultimately not supporting grifted content. This is not just artist but the general public indeed. I would never support a person who sells a Naruto shirt that is not from the original creator or one in which the original creator would not get any money from. You don't buy counterfeit rolex watches or adidas sneakers but people surely will buy counterfeit merch of their favorite anime/manga yet can never support people who make original content that is legal. This is a large problem on the internet but no one cares to give a damn and so the problem will continue to exist and exist. It just creates an environment where if the top dogs aren't respected how can anyone else be? Some people are just lucky they fit into some ideas of what people want them to be to make any money but this market online is lawless, unfeathered, criminal even and rife with problems as art is devalued to a sum of hyper changing fantasies on what art should be and no one artists should have to be constrained by such a piss shit market. A market that drags hard working artists who just want to be left alone from the IP stealers and their drama into no earnings whatsoever. People must reckon what they actually want in life and whilst the internet seems a promising place it is not when criminals can just bask in the glow of legitimacy ergo for people who are artists to be taken seriously-IP theft must be put to an end. People should not be allowed to sell Naruto and other anime knock offs when it steals money from the original creators and makes the art market online a laughing stock that no one takes seriously which now is only there for whatever pleasures and/or trends people make up.
