Stretch and the Stretch Fighters.
Watched this particular show after a Jimmy Kimmel bleep and blur to find out what happened and basically the Rook dude did fuck them over, why, because ( spoiler) he was the Flex creature all along and wanted to basically play with people in his fancy toy city to make them creatures like him.
However for that particular show it was particularly creepy of how he was revealed. Had the main character not figured out it was him, they-the main characters would have died. There were hints from the first outset of the story. Rook Unlimited takes over this poor neighborhood and city full of crime and manages to reform it. No one takes over a city without abuse being formed into question.
Obviously, Ricardo is listed last by Rook himself in an expo to reveal their abilities-the team in proposition-the flex fighters to the entire city in a broadcast. The fact that they are able to do all these spectacular things and then get hit-reveals that secretly they are being made of by Rook himself. And more so Ricardo is pretty much the only black individual in which you see that does not have some kind of criminal past or does things that are not particular nice, but well uprising someone else for their date is not nice, but still. Most of the criminals are people deprived of their work by Rook unlimited and are in effect basically minorities most and center and what does this tell you people?
When Rook last Ricardo lasts. It denotes the city is racist because he operates it and there are truly never really much black people within this city and you can assume from the gang episode later that they are forced to live in the old city due to much racism and bias from Rook corp. Now that Kane, is shown with a nice car- shows that really he is probably one of the few who has become rich only by working for Rook, black individuals who can live in the inner city. Ricardo is pretty much another black person who gets to live in this fancy estate simply because his parents have money. But its true in the story that institutionalized racism exists and one to create a perfect city much like Hitler tried to by including certain people from certain areas and forcing these excluded into places were they could die according to the plan to create a perfect race. Which is by which Rook's end goal. No wonder he never called Ricardo first. He was racist indeed and if not has his site on a race of mutant people as his ideal people in his city where he can frankly toy with anyone.
Lastly and most funny, is how during one emergency information search he pushes one woman out of the way using his hips and it certainly is suspicious and also the show never goes into much of how he created everything and the accident eight years ago involving the doctor believed to be dead.
Meaning this one action proves insight into his true character and basically the story is being built up much to acclimate him as a fearsome enemy vital to the story or a long lasting one. I made this particular comic to laugh at the reveal at the end and how it just springs at you and drags you under but its all the while noticeable and predictable. And kind of laughable how it was noticeable all along in the most banal ways in a kid show.
