will she love me

will she love me, he asks
when I am old and gray and
the joy of my youth has wasted away,
and she is saying, yes today, some great holiday,
yes today, yes today and tomorrow and beyond, I will love
you, I will keep you safe. Will you love me, she asks
and that she is me, that she is me. there is no question that
I won't love you forever.
