Brief History of Moira
the great/ graet garrain, what we would call God, created Moira and ancient while back.
The people emerged from what is believed to be an island now sunken on the planet, this island was called Cort. As time grew on and wars and conflicts where fought, the people of different areas gain different appearances and understandings of the world, as well as the different cultures of the world found today. The world in the past was more disunited than it is the present and perhaps the future but the arrival of the signoths, angel like beings or spirits one could say changed the mentality and the thinking of many with their past deaths thoughts. As, it turned out, these were the same people who were turned out of Cort but returned to make their world a better place, after the fall of the civilization, the grand sized scale civilization they tried to build but failed. Some of these signoths could not return to the afterlife after influencing the people they had, this drove some mad.
Soon people were creating a lot of items, guilds, arts, music and inventions. Society was overwhelmed by these developments and one group of remaining sane signoths, devised a plan to release their brothers and sisters from the planet of Moira. It turned out the signoths who could not return home had desires of other people and other things other than the purpose they claimed for, and thus these group of signoths banded together and got a group of humans to dispel these signoths.
These people became known as slayers or signoth priests. This caused hatred amongst the many nations of the world and thus, the signoth priests where injured, some killed and this started a massive war which the planet was lucky to survive. There was chaos everywhere, nothing was safe and the signoths saw what they had done and saw it was good and banded together to convince a new uprising of individuals to stop the violence, but this only lead to more wars and more advancements.
Most commonly, Moiran society was similar to the functioning societies of Earth. They were similar in the fact that school was mandatory in some places, everyone had to get some type of job to make a living and that's about the similarities. Unlike Earth, there was a high sense of freedom and will, many people usually quit their jobs and lived amongst the trains or transportation units until they reached their goal or some guild welcomed them in, which was not long. People here, were more educated, in the sense of cultural manners, that is more sophisticated. This was all because of the signoths and various emotional and worldly factors. After and during the war however, education was deemed necessary by everyone and taken more seriously, to the point that a ten year old was done with his or her education, due to the massive deaths. There was a decline in social function, the creativity that was once brilliant and at its zenith, was declining and societies where collapsing forming new ones and new inventions to combat in the war. One of the most available weapons came to be, the shogun art-or rather instruments, art or inventions once with a peaceful side now had a deadly side. Guitars, or what you can call a guitar in human language where tuned to lock onto a certain enemy's characteristics, dna pattern and cause horrible deadly pain. Later, these guitars where equipped with guns, riffles, knives and even grenades which would launch every time a specific chord was launched.
The point is that Moira was on the brink of extinction, meaning unless something was done to stop this war, Moira would be dead. This was a war that the signoths had caused on purpose in order to release the trapped signoths back to the afterlife.
So, the great garrain sent a savior who would now lead the dying off signoths priests that expelled them, the remaining signoths from Moira and after this, without the presence of the signoths, Moira returned to peace and well there was a long recovery after that.
The savior traveled far and wide and stopped many conflicts, help rebuild societies and formed an epic league of cities and countries. These countries still exist today and to ensure a war never happens to the scale it did, nearly wiping the populace from the planet, all of these league of cities participate in quarterly competitions at who is the most creative and thoughtful to do amazing things or solve problems in the world just like the savior sent before. And basically this is where Moira stands in modern times.
