Now, the biggest turn off for RWBY going forward before I tell how much better WITCH is- is just how they killed off a main character and really just seemed to have nothing really going for that character in the first place but to make a symbolic impact. I mean symbolic impact because she is supposed to impact the teammates of hers and team RWBY with her death but yet the death of Pyrah is just really hollow and just symbolic. None of the screen time in the show cements her as anything or anyone of real purpose and impact to her friends but Jaune. Heck, there is not much one to one time for her with any team member of hers or friend in the cast shown but with Jaune. Everything is a team group meeting! Yes, everything is just a team group meeting! No real depth is given to Pyrah but a conversation and conversations with Jaune. Really we don't ever see the characters actually awaken from a dream that often serves to characterize people or them have multiple interactions inside the cast. The whole death of Pyrah is done even ever worse when the only finality is mourning and not the main characters realizing they should get revenge and bring Cinder off or kill her. I mean, the woman toppled world governments and there is no need for revenge? I have seen better in the work Grimgar of Fantasy and Ashes where low tier try hards kill the goblins that nabbed the priest in their party. A priest is what Pyrah acts like in the work of RWBY for what it sets up and is mostly under utilized. She could have served as a peer mentor if things were done better instead of just one time paying for Weiss' food. Upcoming on MK MZ.
