Call of the Night is like a Pale Waves.

Yofukashi no Uta (Call of the Night)

If there was a manga to remind me of Pale Waves it would be the Call of the Night. Simply because it just has the same type of atmosphere you can imagine for most of Pale Waves songs. It features a duo that strives to become a couple or at least the human boy desires to become a vampire but can only do so if he falls in love with the vampire girl and she sucks his blood. Yes; there could be some great obstacles to come to that as the manga actually entails as the boy is only 14 years old and previously rejected the advances of a girl who was interested in him at school. In addition to the social dynamic of the girl being open to his interest in being a vampire and getting to know her- there is this element where she just is playful and telling him at certain times when he thinks he is in love that he is not and just trying to guide him to a life of fun and happiness. And yes all this occurs at night time and much enough; early Pale Wave music videos appeared to happen at night and have this dynamic of night. They; Pale Waves in these music videos of the night and the work itself inhabit a same place making it very likely if you seen one you would think of the other. Just a thought.
