RWBY Vol7 review up to ep11 gravity

Oh yea, I watched Rwby to its most recent episode. It is looking fantastic even though you can level the story is repetitive in the conflict. Spoilers are included but if you are a RWBY watcher, repetitive is a thing that can lead you to infer what is happening by ep.11. Rwby this season developed the characters and story more in a satisfactory way even if characters were poorly developed like even in volume 6.It kinda pointed mainly that all the main characters cannot be "right".Ren and Nora's relationship points out troubles in what lives Ren and Nora want to led and their definitions are both different from another yet they have some type of romance that might just fade away when Ren decides to do what is best for him. Yang and Blake are coming to terms with killing Adam Tarus and their feelings. Later that leads them to reveal the secret of Ironwood's operations to Robyn. Ruby gets some development in this story. She tries to push Oscar to be the one to reveal the truth to Ironwood that Salem cannot be killed when the heat is turned off to Mantle.  She is then revealed to have some feelings for Oscar and Oscar for her in a real bubbly manner. Ruby gets really emotional when its revealed that her mother tried to talk down Salem or say, " they did not need to kill her to stop her". This is only revealed by Salem herself. Who tries to entice Ironwood after he starts to have a near breakdown revealing that he knows someone leaked information out to Robyn but it fails. Yet Ironwood by the episode end of Gravity reveals that he wants to send Atlas into space and the tech will keep everyone there currently-alive. Yet leaving all the people in Mantle to die just to secure the relics? How did this even happen in the first place? It all escalated when Ironwood was called to the council diner at Jacques' house to be questioned.

In the episode where Ironwood is questioned, lots of things are to happen. But noticeably, Weiss somehow due to the hijinks of her pals is able to get into the rest of the building and goes into her father's office where her mother hands her a communication device after a deary talk and yes, her mother is some type of alcohol abuse drinker who blames Weiss for leaving her brother there with them. Basically acknowledging that she is a bad parent. Maybe Neo is seen and she links back to Cinder, oh joy. This is episode 8.

By episode 9, Ironwood is in trouble by the council mainly with Robyn and not with Jacques who seems to be distracted by an incoming message that is very critical and causes him to be distracted and basically wants the meeting to be done realizing he is in deep. However Weiss comes in just in time to save Ironwood where Jacques crimes in working with a "dead man" who is also a criminal and also another criminal are revealed. He cannot save himself. Later, the heat goes off and a riot in the city breaks out which attracts grim. This gets into Ironwood and the council and Robyn basically makes Ironwood back into a corner. Ruby and Oscar convince him to tell the truth. He tells everyone the secret about Salem and then calls the hunters and huntresses  out to the city. Ruby and Oscar have their bubbly talk and talk about releasing the secret that Salem cannot die. So they basically go their separate ways with Oscar to tell Ironwood the truth. Ironwood is shocked and decides the best path is to defend the city.

By episode 10, its all about defending the city but a bunch of events happen that really might just determine where the story gets to in episode 11 "gravity". I mean, they have to fight a bunch of mammoth grim and its hard. Penny is redeemed as a hero. Robyn and Ironwood gather together to calm the citizens but Ironwood's promise of a completed communications tower is just a bust to lure in Watts, the evil guy. Meanwhile Cinder is the most annoying character who should have been offed at the end of the 5th volume by Raven is acting pretty entitled and says, " take what harms him the most" or something like that. To me at least that was very corny and annoying but its Cinder for you-one of the most annoying characters in this show who despite having a mega fight some time ago, we don't know anything about her which might be bad form but could set up for a larger story. Neo wants to can Ruby but Cinder needs to do something at the Atlas academy.

So by episode 11, its all like  the last episodes of volume 3( I must record this show is not the same without Pyrah)-yet even more chaos. Tyrion is confronted by Crow, Robyn and dude of ace ops I don't care to know his name because he is going to be an antagonist obviously on how he was set up from the start. I personally say that some people in this show and writing for it, just need to keep Crow straight because it really does not make sense for Crow to be paired with this dude in some homoerotica bliss. I mean, really its distracting how much a fan fiction oriented focus has entered the show and they harp on characteristics that clearly don't fit with playboy character of Crow. I mean maybe to show people all straight playboy characters are only attractive in their little weeb minds as gay. Fetish anyone can recognize in this show, it would be the subtle writing of Crow and whatever dude because Crow liking Robyn would be against the progressive social media social justice warrior objective. Anyways the three take down Tyrion. Meanwhile or before or even after Ironwood confronts Watts and they fight and Ironwood's physical flesh arm gets burned and then he breaks it to free himself from Watts's semblance. Ironwood basically drags Watts across the floor and he basically has a skid mark on his eye area when Ironwood picks him up in the the communication tower stadium thing featured in volume three. And he picks him up over a lava setting and Watts basically says, " do it". Ironwood somewhat does it you can assume by how cold his actions are when he is healed or in a spring(his arm) and realizes that there is a black glass castle figure on his desk. He basically freaks out and calls team RWBY in along with some ace squad members-all of them I will guess but the guy hanging out with Crow( ya know). From here, it is pretty much where things go down hill. Ironwood freaks and has sent Winter to claim the winter maiden's life to become the next one or secure her. He when Blake says to calm down and that they can trust him, he says he cannot. The rage is on the page in this one. Everyone shook. He then accuses that someone betrayed him leaking knowledge to Robyn which did not cause anything at all to go wrong but maybe unify the council behind him and vindicate him. But clearly as the conversation goes on and Salem goes and leaves,Ruby cries and collapses over which Yang comforts her and its becoming clear that the ace ops are just flunkies to Ironwood and nothing else of morals, that Ironwood despite trying to do what is generally right has become a weapon for Salem and very much does not know that Oscar has been kidnapped by Neo and Cinder as that was discussed earlier in the duos plans. Actually Neo was pegged on so she is innocent despite wanting to murder Ruby for nothing that was her fault. Ironwood refuses to acknowledge that he cannot even shut down everything to work in his favor when Oscar and the relic he cares are gone. Ruby tries to make a desperate call before this is realized that Ironwood plans of declaring martial law to leave everyone in Mantle to be murdered which is a crime by the way-like genocide level. I mean, there was a character called the Doctor who could easily turn this situation around and save the day but that is Doctor Who, Ironwood at the end basically is so self righteous and dignified even if his actions might save some grace of the world but it won't.

Because seriously all the actions with Salem have only gotten him to turn in the way that Ozpin feared would be true if they told him the secret! Had he not known Salem's immortality, at least he would have died a honest person. But team RWBY essentially made their own problems and now they have to fight through it. Honestly, they have to fight against the ace ops. Ruby's message makes it way toward Crow and Robyn who realize that the ace ops leader with them is bad news as he is loyal to Ironwood and wants to help assist in genociding the Mantle populace. I find it a bit sad the story went this way but it basically ends where there is going to be this fight between RWBY and JNRO team( I added Oscar into the name of Nora, Jaune and Ren's would be team). So really if ever the truth comes about Ironwood's intentions and somehow the day is solved, then really-he might be the one in a cell like that Rowan or Neo's master dude in the earlier seasons. Yet the next episode has at least chances for great action scenes.

The action in this season is okay and great in some instances as if recovered from bad times in previous volumes whilst there were good times in previous volumes were the action was something though minimally.

In review of everything, the story shows great promise of something but I cannot figure out what it could be. The characters are developed.  Depending on who wins this fight Rwby's group or Ironwood's flunkies determines who will be labeled as criminal and frankly this is some good action and development and each character in the story is truly active in character development like in the end of volume 3. Yet maybe this whole city falling thing has been done before and maybe the city will fall. In my personal opinion, the story is easy to follow but the outcomes of the future narrative don't look bright despite improvements in this eason. Only one person probably could pull off what this story is to actually be. While the team is very good at doing that in which this person could have done-it might not be able to properly convey what is supposed to happen when they fall victim to inputting too much of their own politics into the series and making bad writing choices like making Crow gay or at least trying to hint at that or something. Seriously, why make Crow tough all this time in the series just to mellow him out as some type of hidden in the closet in the type of dude which surely we was not. The one connection that is very much missing is any connection that was hinted at in volume 3 that Crow and Winter have. Or any of their background. It would have been nice to see them go at it or something that reveals what was already told in the story but the story with Crow and the ace ops leader can serve as an introduction to what is going to happen. Basically RWBY's team fighting the ace ops team and this could be called from the start. Yet in terms of writing, never are Crow and Winter's history of conflict even mentioned but maybe in the eyes of bad writers who suggest it is because Crow denies Winter's advances and must be gay or something like that- and that must be conveyed with this ace ops leader they try to force Crow with. This volume has the main characters a bit more likable than the previous but as Tyrion says, " you want more chaos in a grim attack?" Or something like that-basically alot of chaos of two teams fighting can mean there will be casualties. Maybe the ace op team will face losses or the entire team and Ironwood will perish and the Mantle denizens live? Anyways its hard to see how this show is just going to kill off Maria and the old dude and everyone in the city when (1) obviously Ironwood would be losing out going into space with both relics.(2) As well killing everyone in the city would basically make the show repetitive simply because no people can survive leaving Mantle covered by snow and survive( aka the heat) if Ironwood was to get his way. (3) The show is obviously not going to allow those two things especially with Ruby and team RWBY being opposed to Ironwood and cannot survive like anyone in Mantle unless they kill all the grim in the city. Really, the ending  of this volume 7 could be anything good or anything equal disastrous as that good and serious magic power of the relics will likely be used to save the day and not the one Oscar has, no. The one that holds Atlas up.
