Now could you trace a theme of Technogothica in the news?

Now, if you could ever come up with some news topics around the theme of Technogothica, some type of ate that differs and varies from the normal status quo- what would find? Nothing substantial involving a story of folks in a different landscape. The closest you could get would be Blade runner and a girl who dresses like Halloween for Christmas and vice versa. That to be said few remnants of theme of this advent theme could be found vaguely if by the news and especially alternative in culture. It should make since that when I look for the "cyberpunk" in the real world it is built off of something and specific keywords to make the cyberpunk.
