Why the Sliders reboot will not work.

 Greatly, the original series of Sliders was not that great even the two seasons people claim are the best. The takes on alternate history are poorly research, never offer any insight to what slavery and the black experience has anything to do with anything that is America in pretty much anything but only music and sports, there are too much lacking conmitments to actually make these worlds actually real to which the characters can straight up impose their world views upon the world and just be the heroes in some days or some hours to change the world. I think its straight up bull that people would be able to go to an alternate world and actually have a hand in changing it. Kudos; in real life things actually take time to happen and greatly the great things in history this series wants to subvert where much more complicated to say that it would be innaccurate if things happen the script said as it would be completely illogical. Often in history things are far more complex than the elementary understanding the Sliders has of history. It often just leans too much into white imperialism views of history and openly is very misinformative on what little historical context it presents. I find it funny there is never a world where black people run America, nor asians nor Native Americans because the writers all have a very white privileged and very white apologist and ignorant ideal of what reality can be and never reason that those alternates could as well happen.

I lead that your series is likely not to work well when especially the co creator comes out and says that , " it will not be woke". I think you can you fuck yourself thinking its going to be anything great when all people who ever use woke these days are people who are literally racist and self hating. I am to say that its a word that has been pestered and venomized to mean something that is just convenient for racist cowards to say that they are racist cowards and never actually understand anything. I think that when a showrunner is trying to please racist and the original show was not all that great in considering the real alternates of society that did not merit always white power winning; I think you know what type of show its going to be. A widely piss poor outdated show written by a dude who is very secluded from actual society of modern times thinking that everything goes right when you advocate behind literally racists and scumbags.

I am to say the show was original and greatly groundbreaking for its time period but it still had the great historical flaws and the portrayal of the alternate world weren't so great at all. Rather as I said before they were illogical and poorly researched. I would now like to say that they were thematic and really much the story itself never granted these worlds could be well researched and their be real unique characters behind each one that would constant recur.  The great fault of the original show is that it never got out of its prototype phase but was diluted and fucked over by poor writers diluting somewhat a good promising concept into basic movie and show paraodies.  The point is that by season 3 the show just becomes a mismatch with its previous storyline and just does paraodies of other media really much and offers nothing that feels real to the story itself. I think its weird you can have a world full of Planet of the Ape rip-offs before you can have a world where black people run things. The great thing is the show gets trapped in what I can call white America thematics.  Everything that goes on in and in and out of these people's mouths which are the main characters are things that are greatly annoying. Things that ring like the nonsense of " America is great" to the Professor Arturo's ramblings about history and his need in the world where men are subservient to women to essentially try to be a sexist and well in some twisted way show people here that men can run things. I think especially the show is very stupid in that it can only think of these very textbook " America is great" themes and simply think this illusion of America is what reality is. Really much has a 1 dimensional understanding of America and literally bases worlds on concepts that aren't broad enough or even written or presented well enough to work as the basis for an entire world. You have a world where there is a oil gush over San Franciso. I think that concept is simply problematic in that; is that really anything that would actually set two worlds apart. It does not even cover the whole world but only covers San Franciso. In that same world you could have other things happen that would contradict that theme "of overflowing oil gush makes everyone rich" in another area and then what would that world even be? But poor writting? Greatly there are these large developmental gaps in this work that no modern story allows.

If a person is familar with Yugioh, in the show there are in fact alternate worlds indeed. There is of course the main original world which the series begins. Then there is Yugioh 5Ds which takes place in an alternate future of the main world which is dystopian and revolves around duels on "Duel racers" aka vechiles.  The theme does not break anywhere you go in that world and infact the show often shows different locations in this world. There is a France, Australia and Norway.  Never does going to one region break the theme and it becomes " fairy dueling" with a whole different set of rules and ideals. Its to be said the show that is Sliders really has poor writing in defining whole worlds most of the time except episodes where it must give some background history to back up the story. Greatly, all the worlds the individuals travel to are just greatly very thematic to a degree that is poisonous-nothing else can be happening but what someone assumes "living a cowboy life is like".To that degree it is very underwhelming in its world development. You see shows about actual cowboys even to this day do not level their whole existence on faulty themes and idealisms that people have about them. No, they portray reality as it is to a cowboy and even more so; show how other people live in the same show. This show called the Sliders pretty much fails to even show complex narratives and really much if a cowgirl was to be playing with a doll it ought to be a cowgirl herself. Really much disregarding the lack of avialability such a kid would have to such a doll and that really much her parents would frown upon her actually becoming a cowgirl than someone's wife. I am to say that truly enough Yugioh 5Ds happening in a dystopian world can include a fairy as a girl's dragon because of good writing and realizing how things can fit into a setting. Sliders never does that work of how anything outside a theme can fit in a setting. Kudos; in the real world you can live like a cowboy but that does not mean everyone else is. You can exist in a dystopian world and fairies still exist even if they are just dolls people play with. Its this simple concept the show suffers from especially later on.

It wastes too much worlds and makes them jokes by make theme strictly thematic nuisances or jokes the characters escape from between episodes or at the start of one. Then there are the main ones the episode is featured on that are just purely "America is great" bullshit. Literally try to engage in one episode in volume 2's finale that if Spaniards had won America that they would be trying to deport white or black people! Its a joke and all a very tasteless one. I do commend them in their hamfisted idealogy to try to ponder on a crisis of immigration of hispanics in the 90s when no one else would do so;but literally the thought that people who would be white would ever be unemployed and/or looking for hard labor is bullshit when countries in Central and South America literally love light skinned people and hate black people. I don't think the show even realizes that greatly even in that time period and many fucking years before that; there is a fucking thing like a black hispanic. Asking the only black person to be relieved when he leaves that world to be excited everything is in english is pathetic as if it tries to make sure that the identity of a hispanic person can never be black especially when disavowed by a black person who is not hispanic. I am to say the fucking research is missing in this show. When it wants to make some point about something it really does not and just turns everything into an absurd joke that can never real merrit the real issue in any respectable way. 

I really am to say this was an opportunity to hint how black hispanics are even treated but you had to even be anything of a culturally learned person to even know this vantage point. The greatness is that it was a missed opportunity. And worse is that even 20 years later people still struggle with the ideal that black people can even be hispanic if not the real ethnic origins of hispanics and what even a hispanic is if not the term itself is offensive but people must call theirselves that on the census or just so unlearned people can let them by without their idiocy flaring up. I think that when you have a show runner saying that it won't be woke; they are basically removing chances of any storylines that show the real presence of black hispanics in society or any stories that destruct what the "antiwoke" crowd thinks of reality aka this American thematics that just ponders around white people and their conscious of caring to even notice the wrongs that racist immigration laws create. Really much the show wants to keep things to a great level of reality ignorance even as it explores the cosmos and gives literal monkeys the earth over people who are black, hispanic or asian.  This is to be said this show with its showrunner promising to be antiwoke would just continue miseducation about people who are alive and breathing because some white dude and other white people and self hating folk cannot get over the fact that they don't know much about anything and really are just being offended by how things always were.

I think most of all the "anti-woke" crowd has a problem with all the different cultural merges of people. That be white and asian, black and asian, hispanic and asian and etc. whilst they have no culture and nothing but thinking these people are monstroities of liberalism and just appeared recently in history. Its all disgusting because in history; these people have existed for centuries. Fucking again; hispanics greatly are a combination of spainard, native american and african and could either be just two of those identities if not all three. I literally am to say you aren't going to find some some person in Mexico is not some bit native American from spain unless they actually came there just recently. To act as if you control nature from your inflamed keyboard is just the providence of being a person who loves to endear in white imperialism regardless of their race. Can black people be antiwoke? There are so many of those people online and on youtube; that clearly everything is never as arbitrary as these antiwoke  people even want to make life out to be. In great sum; people who seem to hate people from their seeming complexity are just fools to realize that their history as people is never so abritary unless they are literally living a region of questionable pratices of incest to which they are just the product of it-hence those states of Alabama and the such. Which would make them really envious of people who actually are not the product of incest. I think the show itself is just a product of "American exceptionalism" from a very idiotic point of view that does not understand anything. I think if the show was forced to change in the 3rd season it would be because the executives knew what a fuck foundering racist the creator was and refused him to do an episode about slavery or other things of that nature. Its very telling that if you make a show in the past and its very ignorant of actual living people as to ignore black hispanics and even view them as fictional or not real people; and want to continue doing so-I think you were always a racist ad corporate minds knew this and would not allow you to go ahead with potentially causing them viewers, money and face by having racist ideals in the show.

    Its for this reason why the Sliders reboot will not work indeed. In the sense that it will refuse the actual complexities of alternate worlds and frankly waste so much worlds and characters to do nothing with them if not as well refuse to acknowledge the existence of people who actually exist because the main creator and writers think they are "fictional people". Lots of ignorance, stupidity, white American cupablity ( aka believe in very misinformed ideas about race and people of color and don't think people are real when they say they are chinese and black and think its "exotic")  and hidden bigotry in this show. Structurally, the show pretty much was like a hero jumping around in a prototype suit for much of its run and never anything getting rounded and it never becoming anything but a mess. The original goal of the show was for the four characters to get back home after an accident testing the device that goes to alternate dimensions. Never could they actually take the time to say " this is not a good story to be hinging on forever" and had to make it a whole thing for three seasons until new writing came in and just butchered everything.  I don't think the show has any great story beyond this premise even planned out when there is so much you can even do with alternate dimensions and would just be flawed to continue this path until the planet of the ape rip offs; the Kromaggs appeared. But ergo; the Kromaggs don't seem to be the idea the showrunner even had in mind but still-the show should not have hinged on them going so far witha prototype concept of dimensional travel for so fucking longer than one episode.  I think it would have been better if they were to become friends after that one slide that was accidental and then continue adventures as friends because that is all what would happen in the first fucking place but to a great terrible loss of characters and even good enough writting to make future worlds competent. I think that really there is no real show but just people jumping into oblivion and chasing these "America is great" thematics. Things like chesseburgers, oil rush, cowboys, and rightful hatred towards immigrants. I don't think there was even a great original idea that a person who actually is not a brainwashed idiot to portray such hamfisted identities of America as godsends to its character and it real true nature; in the fucking work. The work in modern reads as " Make America Great Again" especially with the comments of the showrunner saying that it would be antiwoke. Greatly, this is why it would fail if rebooted and to be ignorant of real reality and people and just be dismissive to these people living and existing.

I think that the work of the Sliders is just stupidity upon stupidity and depicts America in the way that people from other countries envision it; one dimensional. I think enough that you can only look towards the episode where the "British actually took over America" to see its cynical nature and hatred for reality as that in that episode there is not one black person as if making America must in the eyes of the showrunner make it extraordinarily white. Greatly percieving that Britian alone from a very tropey understanding of Britian can only contain white people. Lol, what a fucking lie. I am to say there are black people in Britian and so many other people; asians and southeast asians( people from India) and so much other people even in the time of the 90s. I think that in that episode a person just had to count it as stupidity as it wanted to portray a society that never used Africans as slaves in Britain, America or anywhere else. Truly enough; I am to say the show could only play into misinformed stereotypes of black people and really much hated the thought that "if a place had African slaves would it not have African Americans or Black Britons?"Throughly enough the show is just greatly enginneered to be a flop in understanding history even to make it even percievable real or logical or in great depth.

The story in itself is just an outdated relic of 90s race identity crisis and 90's tv lacking historical focus. I think that there are so many better tv shows that exist with better alternate dimensions than this today and whilst this show was better than anything at its time at least for the two first seasons about being in the dimensional ideology and representing it in some minimal function of understanding in comparison to everything else at the time;  I think that pretty enough it would not register well with many people. Its too outdated and people would not be pleased how badly the original tanked. I really don't think people give a fuck about cheap 90s effects and a generic action story which really has no conviction but being a washed out story which potential was wasted as it was meddled with in its prototype stage and had a long protype stage never getting into the real stuff it needed to be successful.

There are so much better stories out there today folks that deal with the dimensional like Black Mirror, 12 Monkeys, the Magicains( yes they have an interdimensional traveler), Motherland; Fort Salem even Marvel itself has tons of better dimensional stories in show format like Loki that do the whole "world traveling thing" way better. If not I am going to add that Marvel comics had better dimensional focus even before the Sliders was a thing and their stories are way more competent. Its to be said that you cannot teach an old dog new tricks and the individual will repeat things that just don't work. An antiwoke showrunner is just someone who really does not stand the chance of creating any good story especially when all they want to do is harm people and pledge superority where there is not.
