escapism
The power to escape situations,is the context in which I will use escapism to mean. The value to venture and to travel. To understand what is unknown in a positive light.
One is that used to positively affect the life of an individual in a great way.
There are many ways to do this of course. Create a story that represents a world. That you can conversely find yourself wandering in. The path and valley this world brings, you can find inside a book, story or comic. Comics are a chance to escape to different worlds and places. Stories are just that to.
However, the current climate of the world of stories is a dying one.
Surely, there is indie printing, but any advancements are being offset by the unfairness in an industry, a lack of education of highschool students and younger in the matter of art and logistics of creating art. Push science, but there is a fraction of society who denies human liberty, understanding of each other and pushes the blood of people being spilled for their color.
Cannibalism is this fraction. A fraction which has solely escaped to a reality that is so dark and twisted. Every light potential is taken as dark potential and these people are classified as sane when they are not sane at all to be good citizens or politicians. Such hate of humans is just dark escapism.
Dark escapism is what I call the usual definition of escapism.
So entertained are a group of individuals by this escapism that they can call people animals for their skin color and classify an all for one nature without knowing anything at all. It may be good to escape but only as you recognize the true nature of your own world. Else, you become trapped in a reality that is not yours. Which can become deadly in your health for real.
People tend to use drugs and dark means of escapism when they are never taught real means of healthy escapism and that is the problem in this society. People can not distinguish their life from fiction.And become intrapped in a persona that says they are one thing, but in reality, not one thing close to the persona.
Like cosplay, you might dress like a character but you can never be the character nor have their qwirk or abilities, memories and skills. Also the fact that the costume may never be the same as the actual one the character would wear due to the effects that it will not have the smell of the character or be crafted by that world's tailors and designers nor will it have the wear out effect of the character. Many people cosplay knowing well they are not the character.
However, in real life there are people who have used dark escapism to try and become some type of superior character or species and yet have failed miserably. Why>
Because perhaps there is no superior species or character in our world. And even if so there would be a bad cosplay cause of it all.
But still there is bad cosplay cause all over the place and the media promotes it.
Using the figure heads of popular people to direct the masses and control what they dream and further where they escape. "Certainly, I must not be that beautiful, let me get plastic surgery".
Try to configure weak willed and less educated folks to commit persona suicide. Where they try to be some one else instead of theirselves.
"That's not our problem". People will say, But it is all our problems.
When people who live under a faulty persona do not get what they want, they explode and dangerously effect others because of their delusions. There has been an increase in shootings over the years where many people of a group are targeted by one insane person with a gun, which in turn ralls many other insane delusional people that they have the right to carry guns " to defend" theirselves or rather kill anyone who is not like them. This is a vicious circle perpetrated by the media to continue the break down of society to where everyone is either scared or crazy or both.
This is dark escapism in which mostly is done today.
Even comics and other media have been warped by dark escapism with no morals to actually consider, is it really far to continue to dictate a market and control it extensively when to only copy a story from ten years ago. Or do another mini reboot? Shall we base comics on watered down movies that hardly represent their stories and are actually jokes considering many of the content of the stories is dashed aside like trash. Is it alright to make some cancel a web series parodying your work, when you acknowledge their work is far superior to any animation you have ever produced outside of cgi in movies?!
Tv shows today are crashed and burned like sinking pigeons with sinking pigeon disease. Is it alright for the knowledge of media production limited to a few. Is it okay, that everyone thinks they an be as artists, but yet know nothing about comics, or art or design. Is it really okay, that no one realizes that tv could easily disappear from society due to lack of education of how to create stories and art? And because of the inclusion of only some to learn the trade.
However, you'll never win. Large corporations who think they only serve as the authority for creativity and stories. You can say this is true, because they no longer try to innovate anything really at all, but repeat the same boring thing over and over again. How can a company that has far more resources and experience than one person not discover a new comic book method. Maybe because they are really a stagnant vacant minded place of entry in this era. They have no real ambition or drive to complete a story or idea outside of money!!!!!
You can escape in a comic for 12 issues but if that plug is pulled, where goes the escape, down the drain. People have no obligation to complete their sentences in a proper grammar way, the same as they do not have the obligation to complete stories. This proves that they really only care about profits and not stories in reality. They are bigger and better than one person in ability to produce so why? Can't they finish a simple series that should be possible if they hired about 240 writers and drawers equally? But the solution is way more simple than that. There is a method that coordinate images well to fit into a comic. But do they have it? No, because obviously keeping up the status quo while trying to evolve is the only thing they can do and they only thing that makes sense to them at all.
But let us escape. Let us use escapism to create proper stories and not ones of fallacy,story collapse reader regret and etc. Lets escape to rebuild a fallen world piece by piece. And recover the lost stories and companies that should be.
And using a certain escape, I will do just that.
